portrait of a woman, inspired by the short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Yellow Wallpaper, acrylic on wood, 18"x24"x1"

Born and raised in central Maine and schooled in southern Maine, I have led a very lucky life thus far. I have traveled a fair bit and met many inspiring people both at home and away. I currently work from my home studio in a fantastic neighborhood in South Portland and periodically show my work in a variety of venues in Portland, Maine.  I am a member of the Union of Maine Visual Artists.

"Color is the place where our brain and the universe meet." (Paul Klee)

I paint because I like to move paint around. I paint because I wouldn't know what else to do.

Mostly I paint because it makes me happy.
